What is Foot Reflexology
Foot reflexology therapy is an order and regulation therapy and supports the self-healing powers of the human being and works in both material and non-material levels. Through the interpersonal touch, the most important medicine evolves for the human being. This manual form of therapy supports well being through touch. The different reactions of the human to the therapeutic impulses, allow an individual treatment of each disease pattern.
The foot is a kind of instrument for communication with the whole, namely the human body and mind, and can trigger targeted reaction and change at remote functionally and or energetically assigned points.
Through targeted grip and hand techniques on the foot, needy zones on and in the human body are de-stressed and a self-healing process is stimulated. The human being experiences a fundamental grounding.
The principle of form similarity is found between a seated person and it’s foot. It serves in its ingeniously simple as a key to a largely exact localization of the individual zones on the foot. Working in the reflex zones of the feet, in the so-called microsystem, a screen-like self-image in the small, which is in reciprocally effective relationship with the macrosystem of the whole person, are the foot zone reflexes. Reflexology belongs to the group of complementary methods, which, as a regulatory therapy, addresses and regulates the human being on all levels, each within the framework of its regenerative possibilities. It does not fight or suppress symptoms, but supports the self-healing power.
Development of Foot Reflexology
Hanne Marquardt established the first licensed institute of foot reflexology in 1998 in Germany. After that many more institutes opened up in order to teach her method. Hanne Marquardt herself is still teaching today at the “Zentrum Schwarzwald”.
